Red Design Consultants is redesigning the legendary red wine BOUTARI NAOUSSA
Design
Red Design, having years of experience in designing historic Greek brands such as METAXA, redesigned the label of the emblematic xinomavro Boutari Naoussa, bringing back to the forefront the name of the winery that has defined the category.
Inspired by the first label of 1903, the redesigning focuses on the delicate balance among the elements that make up the overall layout. With respect and consistency to a history and tradition of 140 years, RED creates an anniversary edition, with a contemporary, premium and timeless character worthy of the name Boutari.
As Ronda Senduka, creative director of RED, said:
“I have a special love for wine, and the experience of redesigning a historic label such as Boutari Naoussa, was a great pleasure and a big challenge at the same time. We approached it with respect to its history, with design integrity and attention to the last detail, to give prominence to a family tradition, as in the case of the signature Jean Boutaris et fils, and at the same time, to bring the label where it belongs today“.
A few words about Boutari Naoussa
Boutari Naoussa, is probably the most iconic wine of modern Greek oenological history. With many distinctions and international awards from 1991 up to now -and most recently the TEXSOM WINE COMPETITION silver award of 2019- Boutari Naoussa is the first bottled Greek red wine with a Protected Designation of Origin, to be released on the domestic market.
