In Greece, it was presented as a key item in etsi for the environment exhibition, at Michalis Cacoyannis Foundation, and also awarded at EBGE 2010(greek design awards) in the category of multiple applications.
The award-winning design of the bench is based on letters forming the word YoYo, a creative abbreviation of You (you) that is both youthful and a salute (Yo). The letters are combined in such a way that the word can be read both in front and upper views. YoYo bench is made from compressed wood pulp, 100% recyclable material that is weather resistant and environmentally friendly.
As Rodanthi Senduka creator of the emblem of the Olympic Games Athens 2004 commented:
΄΄YoYo bench is friendly, happy and fun. Ιt is inviting... and green!
